Description
By satisfactory completion of readings, reflection questions, and other assignments, coupled with daily preparation and participation in classroom dialogue, the students will be enabled:
- Understand the structure of Jewish liturgical prayer.
- Explain how the liturgy and rituals of Judaism shape Jewish worship and lifestyle.
- Articulate how Jewish theology understands the following terms: holiness, service/worship, acts of lovingkindness, repentance, prayer, forgiveness, redemption, heresy, the righteous, priesthood, charity, blessing and cursing, justice, covenant-kindness, and covenant.
- Adapt the Siddur for personal and corporate use in Messianic Jewish lifestyle and ministry. Customise elements for use as a Messianic Jewish Siddur in a Shabbat or bar/bat mitzvah service.

Course Instructor
The course will be taught by Eleanor Miles. Eleanor holds a BA in Biblical Literature from Oral Roberts University, and is currently working on a Master of Divinity in Messianic Judaism from the Feinberg program at Talbot School of Theology. Eleanor has taught Biblical Hebrew in Australia and the USA for many years. Eleanor works with the ministry of Celebrate Messiah in Canberra, co-pastoring Hineh Yeshua Messianic Congregation.
