This Anointing Oil is made of virgin Galilee and Jerusalem olive oil, scented with Biblical essences and flower extracts from the Land of the Bible.
Rose of Sharon was named for a place: a fertile plain along the Mediterranean coast in western Israel. In the Bible, Sharon refers to flat land at the foot of Mount Carmel. The plant growing there, the “rose of Sharon” mentioned in the Bible, was probably a wild tulip.
The Song of Solomon describes the beloved Schulamite woman as a flower of Sharon. Song of Solomon 2:1: “I am but a rose from the Sharon, just a lily in the valleys” (CJB). The beloved Schulamite woman humbly compares herself to a common wildflower. The “rose of Sharon” and the “lily of the valleys” symbolize natural, unadorned beauty.
