Lawrence and Louise Hirsch invite you to our annual Simcha (Joy) conference from November 24 – 26, 2023. Come and be encouraged and equipped as we pray and work together for revival amongst Jewish people worldwide. It will be a transformative weekend of worship and teaching suitable for the whole family.

This year’s theme is “Behold My Servant” with special guest speaker Dr. Tim Sigler of Ariel Ministries. Lawrence Hirsch and Paul Cohen from Celebrate Messiah will also teach on the theme. The Prophet Isaiah predicts the coming of a Suffering Servant of the Lord who does God’s will and brings redemption for Israel and the Nations. We will survey these prophecies in the Book of Isaiah and explore how these promises are fulfilled through the mission and ministry of Yeshua the Messiah in the New Covenant Scriptures. As followers of Yeshua, we too are called to be His servants, reaching out in His Name, to the world around us.

To begin the conference, we will enjoy a Shabbat dinner together on Friday, November 24, united as the body of Yeshua from all over Australia. Then, through Saturday and Sunday we will have multiple main sessions and workshops meant to encourage and inspire us in our walks with Yeshua.

Kids ministry will be available during all Saturday and Sunday sessions.

Our Caulfield Messianic Centre is wheelchair accessible.

International Guest Speaker: Dr. Tim Sigler Co-Executive Director of Ariel Ministries Tim possesses a remarkable 35-year track record of imparting knowledge about the land and people of Israel. His extensive academic and personal involvement with the language, history, culture, and geography of the biblical world make him a truly exceptional instructor for individuals seeking a deeper understanding of their Bibles within their original context. Tim’s journey is marked by notable achievements, such as nearly two decades of teaching at the Moody Bible Institute, more than seven years of pastoral experience in the United States, and a significant period of residence and work in Israel, including his contributions to the Israel College of the Bible.

• Where should I stay during Simcha 2023?

We suggest booking your accommodation as soon as possible. You can use websites like Booking.com and AirBnb to find accommodation close to Caulfield South.

• Will I need transportation to Simcha 2023?

There are several ways to reach the Caulfield Messianic Centre. By public transport, you can use several tram lines to reach the Centre. Glen Huntly Station and Caulfield Station are the closest train stations. If you are driving to the Centre, you can park on various side streets along Bambra Road. Please be courteous to local residents and do not block any driveways. Please be aware that some parking areas are time limited on Saturdays. If you are flying into Melbourne, you can use Skybus then public transport, Uber, or a rental car to reach your accommodation.

• Are meals included in the registration cost?

The Friday night Shabbat dinner is included in your ticket. Morning and afternoon teas will be available on Saturday, and a morning tea on Sunday. Lunch and dinner will be on your own. You can visit local cafes and restaurants in the area, such as Delish and Fress Cafe on Bambra Road. We will provide a list of local restaurants at the conference.

• Will there be free time during the weekend?

If you would like to do some sightseeing around Melbourne, we suggest getting to Melbourne early or giving yourself time at the end of the weekend before going home. We have a packed schedule from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning.

• Do I need to book tickets for each day of the conference?

A ticket covers all 3 days of the conference. We do offer a Day Pass for Saturday and Sunday, but you will need to contact our office to book the Day Pass.

• Is the Youth Camp included in my registration for the Simcha conference?

No, you will need to book your teenager for the Simcha 2023 Youth Camp separate from your registration to the Simcha conference. Teenagers with a Simcha conference ticket will not be able to attend the Youth Camp. They must be registered for the Youth Camp by November 9 or until tickets are sold out.
